My Situation:
F-1 expires 29th May 2005
OPT expires May 31st 2005
Company is going to Sponsor H1
60 day grace period expires July 31st 2005
Question: Can i stay legally in the US from July 31 to Oct 1st 2005 under any conditions?
So far I have heard that:
1. You can stay from July to Oct if you file for H1 before your F-1 Expires
2. You can stay if you get an I-20 for summer school
Is any of this correct?
Also,
When would be the best time to get the process started? ASAP....like in December 2004 or it doesnt matter as long as it is in by april 2004.
