Will NVC respond by phone/email on RFE for Packet 3

Hello Gurus,
I called the AVM this morning to check on my status for P3 review. I got the dreaded RFE status. It said that there was information missing in my case upon review and that they sent us a letter about it. I am assuming missing info is the same as RFE. Damn, I'm fed up with this whole process. I could not get to speak to someone, so I sent them an email to find out what they needed. Do they respond to email or phone inquiries?

Additionally, the documents we sent them were the ones they listed on their website (birth cert., police cert., passport copies, marriage cert.). So, I have no idea what is missing. With the EB2 retrogession around the corner, this is something I did not need.

I also received an RFE, and this cost me due to EB3 retrogression. Anyway, I called (try in the evening as they are open until midnight eastern time). They were very good on the phone, albeit a bit vague as to specifics. Its worth a try nonetheless. It took about a week and a half for my attorney to receive the RFE. Good luck.
 
Thanks for the reply, blondhenge. I was shocked to read your thread about their query on your ticket. I will try calling them up tonight. I hope your processing is back on track. I already lost 5 months (uscis sent my 140 approval to another center) and now this RTE !!! I have nearly had it with US immigration.
