Will my PR approval come through even after I quit my job?

Details of my AOS application:
RD - 1/18/2001
ND - 2/1/2001

So, it\'s been 6 months since I filed my application. What will happen if I quit my job now?? And not work at all! I do know that if I change companies and if my job responsibilities are the same, I can continue with my PR process. But my case is different.

Any one has experiences with this kind of a situation?
