Will My Case (I-485) Be Transferred?

We moved from Texas to Maryland (I've NOT given a change of address) and gave our fingerprints at the INS office in Maryland though the appointment was at the Texas office.
Gurus can you please tell me:
1. If the processing on my case slow down?
2. Will my case be transferred from Texas to Maryland (Vermont Center)?

Thanks in advance!
Satya.

First of all, I will advice you to notify CIS of change of address. Firstly by filing AR-11 form as it is requred by law. Secondly by calling the 1-800 NCS number and updated address for pending cases.

By not informing about change of address you risk losing CIS notices.

Coming to your questions, generally a change of address does not cause a delay in processing or transfer.

Thanks for the advice Sertra2002,

The address in Texas is my friend's residence (own house), hence I did not want to give a change of address because I'm under the impression that it might cause delay in processing. But would you still recommend in changing the address?
Normally, when is a case transferred to a different INS center?
Thanks once again.

Satya....where's THE SATYA !!!!!

Dont take it as gospel...but I would file AR-11 for sure (required by law to do so within 10 days of your move) . Given that your friend lives in TX (and can keep you updated on your mail); you do not need to call and change add with the service center for pending cases (you trust your friend, right?)
Best Wishes
