Will INS send the I-485 receipt to my attorney or me?

Hi friends:
I filed I-140 and 485 concurrently a month ago, have been waiting for the receipt to arrive. I need a receipt to show my school that my I-485 pending, I don't have to keep going to school as F-1. I have not got the receipt yet. I wonder if INS only send the receipt to my attorney, not me? Anyone can answer?

Yes, your receipt goes to your attorney.Check with the attorney. (S)he would have received it by now.

In my case, when the 485 was approved on Oct. 20, 2004, my attorney received an original approval notice, while I received a copy of it.
