Will I lost my assylum status if I get married to a non US citizen?

My assylum was approved on november 1999 under my parent's application (back then i was a minor). Therefore I got a derivative assylum status.
My question is: What happend if I get married to a non-US citizen? Will i lost my status?
Does anyone know what is the time frame in order for me to get my green card? (since the day of my assylum was approved)
I should also mention that my fiancee currently is waiting for his I-485 approval (based on H1 sponsor). If i marry him, does it make me legal to stay in the United States? and Does it mean that i will lost my "Resident" status and become an" H-4" visa holder.
Please advice...... Thank you in advance!

Have you already applied for I-485 under your derivative asylum status? I don't think you'll automatically lose your derivative asylee status just because you marry someone on H-1 visa. But I dont know what BCIS will say if you apply for H-4 visa while you're on asylee status. I think you should consult with a lawyer on which status, derivative asylee vs. H-4, is better for you in terms of the benefits you receive plus time it takes to get your GC.

I think you can marry a non-US citizen and not lose your asylum status. The only problem is that it seems that you may have applied for I-485 in november 2000 ( a year after your asylum approval i guess) and this means that we are looking for a 3-4 years waiting period until you get your green card. I think your spouse to be is also looking for the same period if he is going through the H1 path. In short, you can both go your own ways about getting your green cards and you will get your permenant residency at the same time. None of you will affect the other according to my limited knowledge. Good luck

If you are married before the approval date of his EB I-485, then you are automatically eligible for a green card as his wife and can forget the asylum process.

Are you sure that I-485 processing time for asylees right now is 3-4 years?

Shamshom assumed that you applied your I-485 in yr 2000,you have to wait at least 3-4 yrs for you to get your GC.
otherwise if you did not file I-485 in yr 2000,then you will get your GC after 4 yrs depending on when you filed.
