Will I get my passport back ??????

Hi all,

I would appreciate if any one could help me with some vital
information.

I have a 221g from st loius, washington (appear for an interview
overseas). I am planning to apply my h1b visa (2nd time) from Canada
and I think they would ask me for clearnce too (possible comman
name).

My question is what if after interview they ask me to wait for let
say 60days, will they give me my passport back? cause i have other
plans, to fly from Canada to eroupe but not usa.

Are you a Canadian Citizen ?

If not, the safest bet is to go back to your home country and get this completed.

Thanx for ur reply, Yes, I am a Canadian landed immigrant but I havent done my landing yet, I m planning to do it in Nov. Well this is what i am planning to do,

* Planning of getting an appointment date from US consulate toronto in Nov.
* Fly to Canada in Nov.
* Enter Canada and apply for PR card (Landing process).
* Visa interview (h1b revalidation) next day of landing.
* Fly to Euroupe after 1 week of interview.

Well as per my investigation, Toronto consulate either give the passport back in 3 days or 60 days or more depending on the case, well i would have 1 week, I will be lucky if they give that back to me within 3 days or else would say me to come back after 60 days, Here is where my problem comes I can't wait for 60 days in that country, infact I have other plans and I need my passport back. Do you have any input on that? What do you think?
