Friends/Gurus,

I applied for my labor in July '04 and cleared it from Boston DOL. I have filed for I-140/I-1485/EAD/AP and have already received the EAD and APs. My questions are:

1. With Priority dates being retrogressed will my I-485 be held until my priority date becomes current? i.e., Priority Date should become something like July 2004.

2. Since I have already been issued with EADs and APs would a visa number already be allocated to me? what is the A# on the EADs?

3. If suppose my I-140 clears in the next couple of days... will a visa number be alloted to me for I-485? if already not alloted when EADs were issued.

A friend of mine called up and enquired my status and when I said I had my EADs he said that Retrogressed dates would not apply for me....

Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

TIA!!!

1. Yes your 485 will not get processed until your Priority dates are current(atleast 3 years).

2. Visa numbers are not alloted when EAD's and AP's are issued. They are alloted just before 485 adjudication or maybe after FP are done and received.

A# is just a control number which is not a visa number.

Hope it helps.

Thank you folks!!!

Thank you all for your valuable advice. I'm EB3 and from India so I'll better wait and watch.

Thank Again!
