Will Green Card Be Revoked?

Will my green card be revoked if INS (on a later date) discovered that I freelanced for company B while on H1B for company A?

I know this is considered unauthorized work, but it was over a year ago and the work relationship was terminated (less than 180 days). Other than that, I have abided by INS laws. Also, how likely is INS going to find out? Please advice. Thanks.
 
Just bury this fact in the past. Never mention it to anyone.
Tax return is only kep for three years and then put into
some storage for another 4 years. Citzenship application
only need 3 years tax return before that so that INS
will never know. Don't tell this to your co-workers,
your wife, any othr memeber of your family.

Yes, I received a 1099 for the amount of $625. I'm doing CP based on the green card lottery. Would it make a difference if I filed taxes after I received my green card?

Thank you so much. I've been having nightmares about this situation. Out of curiosity, 180 days continuous? Or 180 days of actual work?

(p/s: It was 10 hours of work each month for 6 months. Only received 4 payments in 4 months; i.e. actual record.)
 
I'm not sure INS even knows

I read an article dated May 2002 that it is unclear when the out-of-status day starts and ends. I'm not sure INS even knows for sure. I think it's OK to freelance on OPT but not on other visas.
 
I did some free-lancing on F1-OPT EAD. I submited
tax return with 1099. My lawyer wrote an immigration
history letter for INS to review but did not mention
that work was freelancing. So I made a handwriiten
clarification emphasizing tjhis work was freelancing.

So I have to assume either it was OK or the INS
did not really examine our application carefully.

I personally believe 90% of PRs and
natualized citizens should be deported
if INS get picky with all of these and USA
shold be declared an illegitemate country

Which catagory did you apply green card under?

In my profession, freelancing is very common. It's sad when someone might be deported for working, paying taxes and contributing to society. However, it's a fate all immigrants have to acccept.

Since my green card is based on diversity visa, there is no requirement other than not being a public charge and being in good health, right? Since employment history is not part of the requirement, would it be fraudulant for me not to mention about the freelance work?

*sigh* It's a catch-22 isn't it? So, if I confess to the Consular Officer, what are the chances he/she will issue the green card?

(I didn't include the freelance work in the employment history because I sent in the forms prior to starting the work.)
