Hello,

I am applying Canadian PR through Quebec Selection category. The I have send the package to Buffalo office. I completed the Medical exam in August.
I will change job and move from Miami to Detroit. If I change my address, will that change delay my Canadian PR process?

Right now the Buffalo office is sluggish slow. We do not want to cause any delay on our case.

Thanks for your knowledge.

Changing address has always been a challenge. Even if you fax Buffalo or write a letter, they have been known to send communication to the old address. So I would say send a change of address to Buffalo so that you do your part. In addition to that, make sure you give the forwarding address to USPS.

The only reason your PR may get delayed is after you move they send some communication to your old address which you don't receive and you keep waiting. Other than that, I don't see it delay your PR.

Also in all the communication you send, use the new address and mention in BOLD that they have to send communication back to the new address.

When you send your passport for stamping, send a prepaid envelope with your proper address so that they don't mess up there. Check the instructions to see which prepaid envelope they accept. I remember reading somewhere that they accept USPS and not FEDEX prepaid. I may be wrong, please check on that.

Good Luck.
