Will Applying H1-B affect I-485??

Hello All,
This is just a curious question. I have applied for AOS and would like to know if me applying for H1-B, would affect I-485 application? I have my EAD now and would like to know if I'd be in status(Till October 07) in case I applied for my H1-B and the AOS application is forfeited. Thank u.

Usually, you can keep working on H1B when you have filed for AOS. You should be able to work fine. If you have also filed EAD (I-765), when approved, it gives you the convenience to work for another company if you wanted to..
I applied for AOS (marriage based) when I was on H1B, and had no problems with it. I even applied for EAD and got it approved, but never worked anywhere different , but it was a good precautionary measure to have, just in case my H1B would have run out before AOS got approved, I could still work!
