Will a letter to USCIS to expedite processing help?

I am thinking about sending a letter to USCIS requesting them to expedite processing for my case.. Will this help ? Any experiences please share..

You've probably not yet heard from CSC because you FP is expired,

I thought FP is valid for 15Months ?? I got my FP done sometime in APR 2004.

Additional system check ?

Just received an email from USCIS on requesting on my I-485 application expedite through email to them. Below is the reply from USCIS.

Reply:
"The cases are currently undergoing additional systems check. Please allow an additional 180 days for processing"
