Wife's last name change on GC

We received our GCs yesterday in the mail.
Since my wife's Indian passport had her maiden first and last name, her SSN card, visa, every possible legal document including DL and license has than name. Fearing that changing the last name during GC process might re-start the god forsaken FBI name check process, we opted to leave it as is.

Anyways we'd like to know what's the process for now changing her last name on her GC to my last name?

1. What is the sequence to do this (if any): first passport, then SSN card, then DL, then GC?
2. We have our marriage cert which lists her maiden last name and my last name? Is this enough or is any other proofs needed?
3. Is there a time period to wait after getting GCs in hand before initiating this change?

Form I-90 is used to make a name change on the GC (or other corrections, if applicable).

Note: If you are filing because your biographic data (Name, Date of Birth, etc. ) has been legally changed, then you must bring one of the following to your in-person appearance appointment at the Application Support Center :
• the original or certified copy of a court order making the legal change; or
• the marriage certificate reflecting the new name;
To replace a card because of a change in any other biographic data, you must bring copies of documentation to prove that the new data is correct.

I can't speak to the sequence of events. That may be dictated by your country's passport requirements and your state's DL requirements. For example, if your state requires showing your GC in order to change the name on the DL, you'd have to get a new GC before changing the name on the DL.

For sure it begins with the passport. After that the GC. Then, the DL as the DMV follows what is in your immigration papers. This will take time and would depend on the procedures and processes in each office.
