Dear guys,
I need some help in understanding my case better.
I-140/I485 RD: 06/21/04
EAD AD: 7/30/04 (for both of us)
AP AD: 08/02/04 (for both of us)
My wife's FP done on: 08/19/04.

I saw online status saying my wife's I-485 is approved while I haven't got even my I-140 approved yet. Is this a false update on the online status? Is it possible at all?

Also, my LUD on I-485 says 11/05/04. Does this mean I am any close to it??

Thanks for the help Gurus...

A couple of threads shared similar situaiton, Not sure what happened, they never updated or keep couldn't track their case.

Fortunately ur case LUD has recently updated so strong chances are u both got approved but somehow only her status changed and probabely ur would soon too,

So be patiend and wait 1-2 week, continue check online status.

Good LUck

I'm in kida similar situation. I am primary applicant and my 140 is approved but later they approved my wife's 485 and don't show any updates on my 485. Though it seems like it is already approved (I got letters denying EAD/AP and the letter says it is approved), online status doesn't show me anything.

My situation was exactly the same. My dependents' 485 was approved but I did not receive approval for myself. Needless to say I am the principal applicant. I waited for 3 months, hoping for a miracle which never happened.
My lawyer' s office sent letters - once every month and then tried to speak to the rep at USCIS but nothing worked.

Thereafter, I attempted 3 things in the following order :

1 Emailed/Faxed with NNCP - National Name Check Program.
You will find the details if you search on NNCP on this board.

2 Wrote to FBI under FOIPA.

3 Contacted US Senators from my state.

As it turned out -- and this is my hunch -- my record was partially updated.
There was a lot of hesitation but ultimately, one of the Senator's office
convinced the USCIS folks and they "re-sent" me the 485 Approval letter.

In fact, I was receiving my approval for the first time, but as per USCIS they were resending it.

How do I know for sure that the approval was never send earlier ?
The day my dependents got approved, my status changed from
"Application received" to "Fingerprints received".
USCIS sends original to lawyer and courtesy copy to the applicant.
In my case, neither my lawyer, nor I received any letter in my case.

Hope this helps.
