Wife's GC

I got my GC last december and my wife got an RFE due to incomplete medical tests. Now by the time I sent the medical tests back (in 2 weeks) retrogression had taken effect. Now my employer says they contacted USCIS and they say my wifes application is waiting for her PD which was my labor PD (Jan 2002). Right now apparently its running Jan 1998(EB3). I guess I have no option but to wait.

Now the question is though, I plan to return to Business School next year. While I am at my current company they will do her EAD/AP extensions. What happens once I quit ? Can I do it on my own ? or Do I need to be employed ?

No need to worry.

Below is to the best of my knowledge. Consult a Lawyer, it may only cost 300 bucks.
First of all consider yourself lucky in getting GC. Donate some money to Katrina victims in that spirit.
Secondly, your wife GC application is based on YOUR GC as an dependent. Your Employer has nothing to do with it. If you have your GC, you can do whatever you want(nothing illegal) without affecting your wives GC. Also, it is adisable to stay with your sonsoring employer for atleast 6 months. This is advisable, and you are way past 6 months now. With that said, do what you want but make sure you atleast have enough money to show financial ability to support your wife. Ex, you are good at poker and decide to play poker full time, your wives GC might be denied. BCIS will consider you unemployed there by nullifying your affidavit of support.
