Wife's EAD question ..

I have heard conflicting info on this so wanted to clarify:

If the wfie who is on H4 but holds an EAD uses her EAD to get a job then do both spouses have to legally use EAD or can the H1 holding spouse continue to use his H1 with his current employer?

No,
It is not necessary. Unlike H1 , H4 visa holder can start working
on EAD independent of the principal. She/He has to get SSn # before He/She starts working. they dont have to wait 180 days
after filig 485 or wait for 140 approval.

But if i-40 of the principal is denied then all EADs become invalid.

But if He/She starts working on EAD he/she has to travel on AP
and not on H4.

H1 visa holder' s status does not change if wife starts working on EAD. HE can continue on H1.
