Hi,

I have opted I-140 with CP option, once its approved, is there any need for my wife to sign any documents? I mean in
form DS 230 or in any other document.

Thanks in advance

Every member of your family ( spouse, kids ) wishing to apply for a Green Card has to submit DS-230 Part I and II and they have to sign on them ( Parent will sign for young children ).

DS-230 Part II is required only at the time of interview. But signature on DS 230 Part I is compulsory.

This is of course, assuming that they want to get the GC the same time as you.

Question Regarding DS230 I

One of the sections ask for list of all employers in last 10 years

My wife worked on H1 for 5 months but H1 was never stamped her passport, does the name of the employer required to mention in this list, actually she was laid off but h4 was stamped after 6 months, thus I want to avoid any situation where questions are asked about her employment.

Please help.

She has to state this fact in that section, with the period for which she was on H1 status. Whether or not she got an H1 stamping in the passport is immaterial. The stamp in the passport is only a travel permit.

If she moved to H4 status after her job with that employer, it has to be stated.

Not disclosing this information, would be mis-representation of facts.
