Wife on H1, while me on Greencard

Hi All,

I have my CP interview end of this month. After the interview I
intend to come back to US immediately with my greencard. I
recently got married and have got my wife in US on H4 visa. I
have sent biographic data DS-230 Part I for my wife to the
consualte but have not heard anything from them. Is it possible
for my wife to continue in US on her H4 visa until her interview
date, likely in Sept/Oct, while I stay here on my greencard? I
know H4 visa is linked to an H1 visa. While I surrender my H1
visa to get my greencard, her H4 visa may automatically lose
its validity. Please advise if she can continue to stay in US for
a month or two on her H4 visa, while I stay here on greencard.
Any help in this regard will be higly appreciated.

I think this may be an issue. My recommendation:

1. Post this question to Murthy Chat tonight between 9-10pm EST

2. My thought: One option is for your wife to stay in india / home country until her cp interview. (I may be wrong on this!)
