Scheduled Oath @ 8am. We reached there on time. They had the usual confusion of rearranging everyone according to their order. Then they tool the Oath letter & Green Card and gave a packet congratulating to be a USC from the President of US and declaration of independence etc.
The actual ceremony started at 10 and finished by 11:15am. They had 2 judges, local police & fire chiefs, somebody from the Navy, other distinguished people. Their ceremony had couple of speeches, oath, national anthem & pledge of allegiance.
Finally, they gave Natz Cert and registered her for Voting. The pleasant surprise was that they had lot of complimentary refreshments in the lobby, which were available from 8am - after the ceremonoy. They had 4 types of cookies, bagels, juice & coffee.
She'll apply for Passport on Monday.
I have my interview next month and hopefully the Oath in June.
Good Luck to all of you guys who are still waiting in Background checks... everyone's letter will come... we "really" can't so anything but wait.
