Wife arriving on 29th sept on first visit. What are the options for aplplying for 485

Hello All,

my spouse will be arriving in the US on her first visit on 29th sept. Is there any way at all that I will be able to apply for I-485 for her ?

Bring her 485 form to the airport. She needs to copy down the I-94 number and sign it. If she doesn't have the photo take it right away.
Send it by overnight delivery.
 
Ask her to come two days before. Get ready with all forms. Make sure it will reach on or before 30th sep. Forget medical now. Reply with RFE.

otherwise 29th will be rush hour for you.
 
Hi gcbayarea,

Ask your spouse to take color passport size photos in INDIA. First it is cheaper and you dont have to waste time here when she comes to the airport. Fill all other information, except the I-94 number. You can chat with her or telephone her and get all the information correctly. Once your spouse arrives here, just ask her to sign the I-485 form and send it overnight [next day delivery] to USCIS office. Don't worry about Medicals, they will send you the RFE.

Make sure to get the following items from INDIA.
1. Spouse's Birth Certificate
2. Your Marriage Certificate
3. Affidavits if any [For e.g., Birth Certificate in case of non-availability or late registration]
4. Experience Letters [if your spouse was working].

BTW, to beat the deadline, is it necessary to file all 3 papers - 485, EAD, AP ? Or is it enough to send in the 485 before sept 30th and then send EAD/AP application forms later on ?

Just send I-485. EAD and AP you can add later.
 
Overnight FedEX 8 AM receipt time mail. Do not take risk with these guys. It costs five bucks extra but what the hell.
