I got the emails from USCIS this afternoon and said as below:
---------
Our last written notice in this case was returned as undeliverable by the post office on April 4, 2005. To update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
----------
That's very weird situation because I just got 2 approval notice (courtesy copy) 10 days ago and I never request address change. I already have my passport stamped last week and not expect to receive anything but welcome letter and plastic green card.
I made a phone call immediately and the representativehave I talked to have no idea what the notice is and why this will happen, she said she will make an inquiry to their internal and will respond me within 30 days.
I only have one possible explanation of this situation:
My lawyer's office moved after he filed my I-485 case , is that possible that the USCIS send the official copy of my approval notice to his old address and got returned back , and this event triggered USCIS to inform me that they cannot deliver the offical notice and ask for an address update. I have sent a email to my lawyer and not get response yet.
Is anyone has same experience of this ? In you guy's experience , is there any other explanation regarding this message? Could that mean something went wrong of my case and USCIS want to have a second thought (revoke approval)? Is there any number I can call and ask about the real status of my I-485 case (Not just repeating what the web-site said)? Thank you very much for your help .
