Wierd situation. Fingerprinting done. waiting for AOS

Hi...this is regarding an application where my husband who is a USC sponsored me for a GC and filed I-130/485 together.
Receipt notice date was the 8th of july,04
Now my FP was done on the 30th of August,04 and reported on 3rd of september,04 on the website.
No change in the 485 yet. I came in on a visit visa and have been here for nearly 9 months. I had gotten a 6 month entry.
Is my status legal here due to the fact that i am waiting on AOS ??
I did NOT apply for an EAD.
Any help will be appreciated.

Yes ur status is legal. You can legally stay while AOS is pending until the interview date when - either denied or approved for GC Be prepared to be questioned on the interview though, how come tourist visa verses a marriage in such a short notice. However as long as your marriage is true you should be fine.
You dont need EAD unless you wanna work

i have been married for over 20 years but my husband applied for greencard for me just now as we were living abroad for childrens education.
