Wierd Message

All ,

my wifes case had an update sunday night .. here s the message :

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

On June 1, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.



What does this mean ?There is no update on my case though .

That's an approval msg. Congrats.

That's not an approval message....because for approval you will get "card ordered" / "Card mailed" / "485 approval notice sent" etc emails..

The message (Document other than card mailed) comes up when USCIS sends you a document and gets returned to them....then USCIS checks your adddress on file (or AR11 database) and forwards you the document.....to your new address...that's when you get this message...

It may be address change notice or FP notice or VSC/TSC transfer notice...etc....

Check with your lawyer, if it's a FP notice as he would get a copy as well...
