Folks,
Our 485 RD is 10/24/01 and our EADs expire in late Dec. We decided to send in our EAD renewals on 10/7/02.
A couple of observations:
1. EAD renewals seem to take about one month at VSC. Our EAD receipt notice was dated 10/10/02 (nd), and our approval was done on 11/10/02.
2. I doubt if there is any EAD-485 correlation. Looks like our 485 didn't budge.
Now, for the wierd dates:
1. I mailed the two EAD renewals by UPS next day service around 4pm on 10/7. The letter should have reached VSC next morning. However, my receipt notice was dated 10/7/02 (rd).
Looks like early morning deliveries are assigned the previous day's date at VSC.
2. The online message that changed today says that our EADs were approved on Nov.10th which was this past Sunday!!!
