Wiating for I-90 Application's Decision and need Re-stamping

My green card was mailed to me on March 15, 2005 which I never received and, therefore, I filed for I-90 application and still waiting for a decision. The problem is that my passport stamp is expiring on December 12, 2005 and my Office’s Human Resources staff has already asked me to show them the actual green card or a valid stamp on December 07, 2005.

What should I do? Should I make an Infopass Appointment for the re-stamping purpose with my local office? If so, what should I carry with myself?

Of course, I do not have the approval letter or Form I-797 from the Service Center or local office instructing me to come into the office for passport stamp as the I-485 approval letter was kept by the Local office when I went for my first passport stamping.

When I go to the infopass page at USCIS website, it asks me to make a certain choice to proceed further. There is no specific choice available for the re-stamping purpose. Which choice should I make?

Please guide me for restamping requirements? Am I supposed to take some pics with me? Any current experiences? I will be going to Baltimore Office. Thanks a lot. Please do respond.

If you have already applied i-90 and have the receipt (nothing but I 797 C or whatever) with you, you can take this to Baltimore office and ask them to stamp on your passport. This is what I did. I took the i-90 application receipt and they stamped on my passport (in baltimore). For me there were no instructions to go for stamping. I myself had made an appt and went to local office for passport stamping. I don't remember which option did I choose.

Did you get any receipt from CIS after you have filed i-90?
