Hi All,

Yesterday I gave my FP2 (code 3) and there was LUD yesterday. Today there was LUD with message change saying that we are giving another "KICK" to your file :). See below the message I got from CRIS.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case.

On May 3, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our LINCOLN, NE location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Hi,

Very strange indeed; however, appears that TSC is probably reallocating a part of the transferred cases to their counterpart NSC (under the so called bi-specialization). Remember the grouping: TSC/NSC (for I-485 etc.) and VSC/CSC (for H1B etc).

Where do you live? Closer to NSC?

I can only guess. NSC might have requested your files, or they shouldn't have transferred your case to TSC in the first place and they are trying to correct it.

Oh My God. what a mess!!!!

I doubt your case was transferred as final stage of processing at NSC as a part of burden sharing. If this is true then we will see more cases transferred to NSC or they want to buy more time to adjudicate.

My case was transferred to NSC from TSC on March 1st after i made numerous requests to relink my NIW-485 to EB1. I just vaguely remember reading some posts saying that NSC may be requesting such inter-file cases, but i can't find it now.

Let's just wish for the best, although so far i did not have any LUD on my old 485 yet since the transfer.

Good luck

Hi oooooo,

We are sailing in the same boat as for as the filing of 485 is concerned. Post if there is any update on your 485.

strange!!!!!!!!
Both your wife and your case are now in different places? or at the same location?

Hi good_y

as per on line message my wife case is at VSC. but what i learnt from my attorney saying that our 485 files were at TSC and we got FP2 from TSC. How is the weirdness? that is how USCIS works. No transparency.... we are in dark. As of today and from the online message my case is at NSC and my wife's case is at VSC. Go and figure why????

looks like NSC is requesting the interfiling cases. one of the member in the forum pointed out this. not sure from where he got this info.

Hi all,

Is USCIS going crazy? On May 3, 2007 I got an email from CRIS saying that my 485 file got transferred to NSC and got an email THIS MORNING (May 9, 2007) another 2 emails saying that my 485 applications are pending at NSC.

This afternoon another 2 emails from CRIS saying that my 485 file again GOT TRANSFERRED TO Texas Service Center (WITH IN A DAY TWO TRANSFERS). You might be wondering how frustrating it is? see the following message I got this afternoon.

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing.

On May 9, 2007, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case has been sent to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location.

For fun see the process below my file went around

I485 filed Sep. 2005

Transfer 4: TSC-->NSC May 3 2007 (got CRIS mail and message change)

Looks like lot of activity on your file....it can only be for the good...

I am suspecting - that they are getting ready to approve your I485...and just getting confused a bit as to which service center should do it...keep your fingers crossed...any activity on I485 is always good!

HI banta

thanks for your good wishes!!! i have been going crazy since several months chasing my file. at one point i was not knowing where my file is. all of a sudden so many activities... God only knows what is being cooked....
