why they transfer ?

I am in New York, I485, ND 01/28/02.now tey tansfer my case to MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER.


On January 8, 2004, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.
Question is :
1. I am in N.Y why they transfer my case to MISSOURI SERVICE CENTER?
2.How long it where take for them to schedule?

I am also in same boat, my case got transferred on October 29,2003 to Missouri Service Center (I moved my residance from NJ to Atlanta, GA). I haven't heard any thing from them. Please search all the threads.

I called VSC, they said if no imformation from MSC in 6 months then call them.
My EAD3 still pending in VSC, don't know if they also transfer.
 
They dont transfer but approve. My case transferred to Local 16 months back. Applied 3rd EAD to VSC and approved and got the card. Actually you have a choice to apply at local office or Service center. This infor given by my attorney...

I'm in the same boat

Can anyone know why VSC is transfering I-485 case to MSC though I reside in NJ
