Spoke to an IIO today for my I-485 RD : 19 Sept 02 to get an idea about an expected FP date. She said it could be months . She also said that the reason they dont send FP notice so early because the processing times for I-485 is 2 years and they dont want it to get it done twice.
I wonder how Nebraska and Vermont issues FP Notices within 1-2 months when their processing times are also more than a Year.
I still don't buy the argument of the IIO for not issuing a FP notice unless there has been a recent policy change in INS for doing FP again for FP done/expired beyond a certain time.
On the flip side I also see cases who got their 485 approved within 4-5 months of FP.
