Why there are not many RD Mar 03 approvals?

Same boat, RD : 03/28/03. I wonder should i send a request for expedite handling of my 485 case as its 90 days past.

I heard there are some consequences of the expedite request. I am not sure..
 
It depends on the mood of USCIS officers. Sometimes they can slam with a local office transfer (wait of 3mos to an year) or send it to Missouri Service center (another wait for year).
Also if you go thru the route of congressional enquiry or senator's office or AILA liason they might do the above.
Its all about taking a chance.
One option is to sit tight, as far as possible stick on to the same employer and maintain the same address somehow.If you happen to change employer avoid sending AC-21.

Looks like the adjudicator who is dealing with our cases might have gone on a vacation/maternity leave

There are so many March 2003 people who are waiting for response from USCIS. I initiated an inquiry on 10/22 but no news yet !!

Wonder what is happening !! I did send Fax before but no response. I doubt they move the cases to Local office just because you send case inquiries through Senator/AILA liasion etc.,

When you send a case status inquiry through a USCIS liaison in senator's office they check with only the congressional unit in adjudication department, but not with the real adjudicator. I have seen a reply from my senator's office which included a copy of the VSC congressional unit e-mail with my current case status. I do have their e-mail but i doubt they reply to us if we send them case status inquiry directly.

Can one ask for an expedite request if there is an existing congressional inquiry on the pending case ?
Also will an infopass appointment to talk to an USCIS officer in a local office be of any help other than he relating the same message that we get from web ?

-- As per as i know, it doesn't harm anything if you have a valid request. After all we areasking for case status or adjudication request.

-- Not useful at all, I did it myself by going to local office. They can check their central system and see what we see onthe webpage for current status. When i was observing on their computer (its Mainframe) i noticed they have dates put in sequence when the case was updated for various reasons, which are nothing but our LUD Dates. The IIO officer said all the checks are cleared and apart from that she wasn't able to tell me anything when it will be adjudicated. I think the Adjudicator or district director may be different access to see more deep detailed into the AOS case than IIO officer.
 
one reason might be the two groups created

I remember someone saying that they have two groups.

One working on cases before March.
Other on April to October.


So, naturally March will be the last one to be worked on in the first group :rolleyes:

My RD is in mar-03 and ND is Apr-03. So my case goes under Mar/April ?

Note :INS is an unpredictable agency and has a dubious distinction in working on First-In First-Out manner, they are mostly random.
In the above scenario,bunch of April cases are pending on the other side they are approving even Oct-2003 cases.
That theory may be invalid...
 
It is very said that i have sent them rfe docs back more than 2 months ago. They still haven't done anything...I don't even know how they process the RFE request..
I hope to get it soon...
 
Give me my approval.

I got my RFE exactly 12 days after i did my 2nd FP. RFE response recd by USCIS on 10/14.
LUD changed on 10/14,10/15,10/19,10/21.No sight of approval.
My worst fear is they shouldn't transfer my case to Newark,NJ else a pathetic wait for another 6 mos and those folks would send a laundry list of items to bring during the interview.
They already asked for EVL in the rfe :mad: , but thankfully no paystubs,W2,tax returns crap. :) , as my projected salary in labor is 25% more than what i am drawing rt now.

That may hold true, few days ago VSC was working on August fingerprints : irrespective of fp1/2.

My understanding is that CIS is doing all the august FP2 and i hope than they will start approving sept fp2 ..
 
Brace yourself for another 2 + weeks delay in processing for holiday season.
1) 1 week for thanksgiving
2) 1 week for christmas and new year.
3) 1 day for veterans crap during nov.

:( Hope nothings there in dec other than X mas.
Since its a govt agency, no. of holidays and celebrations will be more pronounced.
 
I am also in the march boat Notice date is March 27,2003 and did second finger print on Oct.21,2004 i dont how long i have to wait more............??
