Q : My I-485 case is pending with TSC. FP are done, but the status is not updated accordingly. What might have happened? Thanks for your great service.
Attorney Murthy : TSC and other service centers sometimes have to provide the information to the data entry clerks to update their database.
Sometimes the BCIS misplaces the FPs and at other times they send out the FP notice multiple times to the same person.
Then all the FPs arrive at the same time. It should not be a big deal in most cases and that information should catch up with the file in due course.
Also, the service centers have been told not to complete the FP process until there are only a few months left for the interview so that the FP
does not become outdated or expire while waiting for AOS adjudication.
