Hi,

USCIS has sent in tons of 2nd FP notices in the past couple weeks. Can anyone throw light on what could be the possible reason. Can we anticipate en-mass approvals soon? Are they really making an effort to hit Sep 2004 promise?

r u kidding.... ;) promise n BCIS............they fear no GOD :(

I am Feb 21, 2002 applicant and didn't receive any 2nd FP notification ... So where are the tons of 2nd FP notices???

cal_aos_waiting,

If you are right about massive 2nd FP notices, that'd be a very good sign for 2002 filers. However, I don't know where you got the info on that - is it the increased number of posts here about 2nd FP notices?

Expiry of 1st FP notice. Not sure promises will be kept. We will be happy if the backlog reduction is fast.

I know of atleast 7 folks (who do not frequent this forum) but are June-Sep RD that have received 2nd FP notices. I hope USCIS takes some drastic step to reduce the backlog.....What they have done till now is not sufficient.

Sep 2004 target is simply not feasible. 2nd FPs were delayed for a lot of folks just to reduce the number unnecessary FPs, As these cases come up (or will soon) for adjudication, FP notices are being sent out.
