CSC is only service center who have a rule to ask EVL after one yr where as VSC and TSC approves things without that.
We need the same equality.

what should we do ..... who can help on this.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

I wonder if Rajiv/AILA could question the USCIS as to why service centers are allowed different policies to each other - such as EVL valid for 1 year, only in CSC ?

I suppose the risk would be that the USCIS would make the other Service Centers conform with the CSC's stupid rule on EVLs !

How about a fax campaign? I don't see too many people here participating in the ones we have running in the first place, but these are issues that concern everyone.

If atleast 100 of us send faxes to Don Neufield, maybe we can shake his ass!

Rules should be fare to everyone ...why does one has to go and other do't.
Fax sounds good to me. but instead of sending it only to Don only we should send to hs boss too. I have no idea who that will be . 140 do u have any clue on that.

what does Rajiv or anyone from his team have any views on this. or can some one run it through him.

The biggest problem is that every one is concerned about the situation, but NO ONE wants to do anything about it. Everyone is waiting for the few to do the job of all.

We try to run a fax campaign, and out of the 300 odd people using these boards on a daily basis only 20-24 people participate! What kind of impression does that make to the INS? That most people don't care but for these few. So we can take it easy on what we are doing.

IF and only IF, EACH and EVERY one of us takes action, can we force INS to look at us as a force to reckon with. Think of it people there are 1.2 million 485 backlogs, which translates into over 1 BILLION $'s in TAXES! How can ANYONE take us for granted unless we allow them too?

I am tired of begging people to see this point of view. NO ONE other than you is interested in your problem, as long as you are working hard, paying your taxes on time, not causing a law and order problem, you are ignored. Your problems are pushed under the carpet.

WAKE UP! Why on earth do TPS people get a HIGHER preference than a community providing 1 billion $ to the federal govt coffers? WHY????

Do something ANYTHING, don't participate in our campaigns but do what ever you believe in, but take action. Don't just sit waiting for your approvals or you are going to get NOTHING other than these excuses, backlogs and delays!

Neufield's boss is Tom Ridge, Secretary of the Dept. of Homeland Security.

Fax campaign is a good idea, but unfortunately not many people are interested. From a poll I ran a few days ago, Over 20 % thought they were a waste of time, and the worst part was that they din't even bother to suggest something that would be worthwhile. Totally depressing situation.

It is no point doing something half assed, we need way more than 24-25 faxes. Atleast 100 faxes sent on a close to daily basis will shake the officials from their lethargy.

Unless we take action as a group, we are not going to get out of this mess.

Rajiv has already filed the lawsuit. He is fighting on the larger scale, hopefully the effects trickle down. I can bring this issue up to his notice that all centers have to be treated equally and see what he has to say.

Don Neufeld is CSC Director and his boss is Eduaro Aguirre but he is totally useless.
I think Tom Ridge, Secretary of DHS is also useless.
Even sending a letter directly to Don Neufeld, he has just ignored.

My recommendation is:
to put strong pressure on him through Congressional offices and Media.
