This is the time for new processing dates posting. I wonder, why it is not happening. I-485 for VSC may move to Sep'03. Although this does not make too much sense but atleast gives some guidelines.

I think it wiil happan sometime tommarow and I do no expect to see any change in 485 dates, i think it is going to stay here for long now

USCIS moving fast, while they process FP they keep moving through these dates even backdated lots of cases are pending. This time i expect they will be moving to October 2003 because i seen 1 or 2 cases approved for month of october'03.
and they will update like they are processing month of october'03. even many 2002 cases are still pending.

Hi all
I bet they will take atleast a few more days before posting the new processing dates.
And last but not the least, the dates will remain as they are for atleast 6 months because starting from january for EB3 cases, the processing dates have no meaning as the dates will retrogress.

retrogress ..how will it work?
yesterday sheela murthy posted the concept of retrogressing...by explaining with some example of priority date...
what is actually a priority date...is it the date labor was filed (the first date of any gc related activity) or is it similar to RD/ND of I-485?

A Priority date is established when u start ur GC process by filing a labor certification.
So it is the date of filing of labor certification

Yes I am sure of retrogressing. My friend's lawyer has predicted this 8 months back itself and there are lot of well known attorneys who say that the dates will retrogress starting from January 2005 for EB3 employment category.
Also for ur info, it is DOS which publishes the visa bulletin which contains the priority dates and NOT USCIS

If the dates retrogess, we all have to start tracking based on the priority date, and after 6 months they'll change the processing pattern again and it goes on...
By the way, until what point would the dates retrogess? My PD is 03/08/2001. I see a lot of people with 2000 PD. Looks like this is going to be big long wait yet again....
