Why is my IL not still here when people who took FP later got them?

I'm in Atlanta, and there are people in the Atlanta DO N-400 timeline thread who got their FP taken 3 weeks after mine, but received their IL.

USCIS website states that "We process each kind of case in the order we receive them." So i don't understand what the particular delay is in my case.

Could anyone give me any explanations?

The order we receive them means the priority date, not the fingerprint date. Did you take the fingerprints earlier, or at the scheduled date? There is a chance your case is delayed due to name check (which is part of the background checks done during naturalization).

I don't even know what my priority date is anymore. This is the second time i had FP done.

My original priority date was March 24, 2005, but because i NEVER received my Interview notification, they reset my waiting period. I had to get a lawyer to even find where my file was and have it moved to the Atlanta District Office.

My lawyer basically made it so that i would just continue with the same application i filed in 2005, so even my application number is the same. The only document that i have that is remotely modern is my FP notification, and that doesn't tell me my "new" priority date.

just called USCIS, and they told me that the priority date is irrelevant for the N-400.... is this true?

Well, it depends on the context of that comment. For a regular case that doesn't get stuck anywhere they seem to be processed in PD order. If the case becomes stuck in name check then of course PD doesn't matter much anymore and it all depends when the name check is completed. You can schedule an Infopass and perhaps they can give you additional information, your case seems to be out of any processing window and they should give you some explanation about why.

i believe i passed name check. I'm just supposed to wait for my IL apparently. I'm going to infopass this Friday, so i'll ask them about processing times then.

i believe i passed name check.

How do you know that? I suggest you ask them when you go to the Infopass on Friday.

Usually if an interview hasn't been scheduled, its namecheck related. If it get scheduled, then later descheduled, its because the A-file hasn't arrived at the DO. Based on that alone, I'd suggest you have a namecheck problem.

yeah, i'll make sure to ask them. But according to their records they did send me an interview letter; i just never got it back in 2005. So doesn't that mean that i already passed the namecheck?

Just came back from infopass. I passed my namecheck and background check ages ago. A congressional liason still has my file, yet my congressman's office denies any involvement.
