Why fingerprint while PP stamping? Help.

Hi All,

Folks who got stamped, please help me in the following:

my local INS is Newark.

I just received the 485 approval and on it I saw that it mentioned the following:

"go to the local INS office and get finger print and signature taken on FORM I-89 ".

What does this mean. I had my finger printing done 10 months back. Are they taking the finger prints again at the time of stamping?

It also asks for "Arrival/Departure Record" and I-94. What does this mean? Aren't these two one and the same or is there any difference. Please help.

Also, please let me know what all documents we need for stamping.

Thanks.

Don't Worry

This is the normal procedure. You go in to get your PP stamped. They take your forefinger print on the form I-89. Take along with you your EAD and AP (If you applied and got them). Take 2 ADIT style pictures too and of course the approval letter. That should be it. Enjoy.
