I am curious to know, why does employer's are afraid to give 140. I understand its employer petition, but they file against employee and employee have right to know the status as well as have a copy of approval.

Whats confidential info will be there is 140, which employer is afraid to give.
Other than federal tax #, I do not see any confidentail info.

Even if we know, fed tax # what can anyone do with it.

Lets all of discuss on this issue, please add info if you guys know it.

so you don't know when u can fly

By keeping 140 receipt and approval empployers buy some more of your time cheap. This way u have no clue whatsoever about your GC and your employer can keep you in dark and doesn't lose you to a better paying job.

Also by not giving you a 140 approval notice they make sure you don't go ahead and file your 485 on your own so they will lose control over you.

Believe me, if u are an employer and see dollars flowing in you also may want to do similar things. Who doesn't like the dough :D :D

They want to keep "remote" in their hands. It is only the matter of "Trust", and greedies never trust.
