why does it show on-line status was updated but it doesn't show anything??

The dates updated were 10/30/06. I check the status on line today. The dates became 11/07/06. However, the message inside didn't change at all. Still were like:"Your I130 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on October 25, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates. "
What does this mean? Should I be expecting fingerprints appointment soon? Was the status really updated?
I would really appreciate your kind reply. :)
 
INTERNAL PROCESSING. It means they are looking at your case. The messages change when there is external processing (like a notice of action being mailed to you or an appointment for FP)

I'm not too sure about that, MY I485 has a processing date still of 9/15 which is when i got the biometrics done but i have since received my interview notice and it still does not show anything online. I think the system is either slow or someone is not "pushing the button" LOL

In response to the original question and second answer, i am basing what I say by this note on the case status online website;

It says quote unquote:

Note on "Last Updated" date:

Your case may have a new "Last Updated" date and you may receive an email notification of your case being update without the status of the case changing. This is due to USCIS internal processing being performed on your case. This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.
I took this to mean that when we see a new date, someone is looking at the case but no change, however, I do realize that when I got the interview letter date did not change. I think it just means that when someone looked at the case they noted it by the date. :o
