IF only the RESULT expires, why don't they just run another query (on old FP's) instead of asking applicant to redo the FP in person again and again.

It is old trick that all police departments follow. They just want to see you in persona. It is like some criminal has to visit police station every week or every day. Just they want see you. These are legacy procedures and continue until some one realize.

Good question. But bottam line is they need money . if you ask them to pay every time for FP people may kill them So that is why they charged 50$. Insted of calling there if they re-run our finger prints, they can reduce more backlog at local office and clear all the trasnfers.
