Why do they keep telling me this ????

I notice that quite a few of the March 99 cases are being currently approved. One case (I see) of April 99 has also been approved. Then why is that whenever I call the INS, they tell me that it is going to take anywhere from 12 to 24 months for 485 approval (which includes 6 months after the finger printing ???) What kind of questions is everyone asking ? I seem to never be able to get them to give an answer on my specific case. They always shut me up by giving me a generic statement like that.

Dude, you need to post relevant details like what is your PD/RD/ND etc.

As for what they are telling you: they are giving you the worst-case
scenario. This way, if you get your approval before the 24months
timeframe, you will be thrilled and overjoyed.

It is the INS\' way of spreading some cheer....

It is 12-24 months isn\'t it? Mar/Apr 99 cases are 16 and 15 months respectively. So what you are being told is correct. Or have you been waiting more than 24 months?
