I didn't know until today. I saw that my A# on my OPT card and FP notice are different. Anybody has input on this issue? Does it have effects on GC and future's citizenship?

Thanks,

From my research the OPT A# ( the one that comes with F1 ) and the 485 A# are different.
485 A# is 8 digits (or sometimes they make the first digit "0" ) .. whereas OPT A# is 9 digits.

All you need to make sure is all of your 485 related A# are the same - 485 receipt notice, FP notice and on EAD and AP receipt notices and the documents themselves.

This is not a problem

This is not a problem at all.

The EAD you got during OPT is not based on your approved immigration visa petition, and pending I-485. The category for that one is also different than the category for EAD what you got for your approved I-140.

It is different for you, it is different for me, it is different for her and may be for all. So no worry.......... :)

Regarding 8/9 digits, this is not different. Sometimes they use 0, sometimes they don't. It is actually 9 digit. When you you have 8 digit, put a 0 infront of on your opt, still that is good.
