Why Atlanta so slow?

Anybody has any guess? Are the employe INS Atlanta slower than other DO or just too many applications?

I can't believe that people have to wait 9/10 months after FP to get an interview where as people in other DO have already got their passport by that time. It is unfair to Atlanta applicant when you pay same fees like others.

Hidimba,

I share your frustration. But,as angry as we are, there is nothing we can do - just sit and wait...for something good to happen...

I completely understand your frustration. Although it's all relative, if you compare Atlanta with Orlando or West Palm Beach, it wouldn't look as bad. I went thru' Orlando DO, I know exactly what it means to go thru' a slow office. Just stay hopeful, and keep pursuing your case because your are the only advocate for your case. Reason can be any combination of -- more applicants, less staff doing the N-400 interviews, staff turnover, sloppy paperwork handlers, lack of streamlined process, irregular schedule of oath ceremonies, etc.

What you can do is to visit your DO every month once you are close to the processing dates, write letters, contact your Congressman and Senator's offices. Believe me it'll be all worth it once gets over! Good luck!

Tina21,

I don't think you should worry at this point. You applied only in 2005 - right now they are processing cases of 2004.
