Hi Guys,

I received an ASC Appointment Notice (code 2) yesterday. What is it?

I filed I-485 in March this year and received Fingerprint Notice (code 3) in May. I did FP+ picture taken + signiture in May. Unfortunetly, my I-1485 was denided with I-140 in June.

I refiled I-140 and I-1485 later, and my I-140 has been approved. Now I received ASC Appointment Notice (code 2). I wonder why I received ASC Appointment Notice not Fingerprint Notice ?

Thanks in advance.

Your I-485 wouldn't be approved if they didn't already have your fingerprints. So it probably means that they used your fingerprints from the earlier application to do the background check etc, and they don't need you to do that again as they are fairly recent. So if you have received a I-485 approval notice, then you're all set.

My guess is the code 2 notice is only to get your indexprint + picture + signature which will appear on your card.

That means good news for you. You are about to get approved so the USCIS needs your code 2 for GC printing.
