Why are there two categories (30-day and 90-day) for I-765?

I had applied for EAD on December 15, 2000. This application was for getting an EAD while waiting for I-485 approval (i.e., it was not an application for renewal). Upon checking the status in CSC JIT Report, it is found that there are two categories for AI-765: 30-day and 90-day. I would like to know what these two categories are.
