Why 2nd FP not issued? Can someone summerize

ND : Dec 29 01
FP1: April 26 02

I 485 : 21 months
FP1 : 17.4 months


Can someone summarize why not received RFE nor FP2 yet !!!

Some points come to my mind are

1) Case has been assigned, but not touched
2) Case has been touched but still under scrutiny
3) Case has been touched before expiration of FP1 and so No FP2 issuance.


Please add any more probabilities that comes to one's mind,

hav eyou contacted senator/congressman help you? if not, it's just forgotten

FP2 depends on the workload in your local USCIS office.

I haven't contacted congressman, How about calling 800 no. will that help

Initiate a status query

I initiated a status query on August 27th (haven't yet rcvd a response). But that might have triggered 2nd FP - I got 2nd FP notice on Sept. 15th. FP scheduled for Oct. 8th.

Here are my details -

Our dates are almost the same

Our path is almost identical -- Dec 01 case, with RFE requested in June 03.

I have my 2nd FP scheduled for October 14. I hope we both get our approvals before Christmas.

BCOS we are the f unlucky people whose case have submerged somewhere. I initiated a status query about a week ago, let's see whether that helps, RD: 1/22/02. ND: 2/11/02, FP1: 4/10/02

peter. contact congressional office will help. I don't know if that status inquiry will trigger fp. Since theirs are RFE cases, different from yours.
