who will help for AP pending since Nov 3, 2003 - Senator Feinstien or Boxer?

My AP application is pending since Nov 3 at VSC. I recently moved to Bay Area. As I need to go out of country next month, I want to request their help. Who is better?

I got help from Feinstien.

Fax the letter wait for a month then call them and do a followup.
If I remember correctly there is a lady "stella" deal with this stuff related to INS.

Fax to Senator Feinstien's office and then wait for a month or fax to Service for a month and then follow up with the Senator's Office?
You got help with ur I485? For me it is AP and I am desperate to get it to visit my country by next month end. Thnx.
 
Sorry man (?). That’s right i got help for my 485.

But you know what it doesn't hurt approaching them by fax first then call then next day and tell them about your AP.

I am sure you must have considered emergency AP.

Both the senators are just too big to help with us small fish. Neither has a good track record regardless of public posturing. But fax and email both of them, call a few times and request meetings, that is the best way to work with any representative, Senators and Congressmen alike. Just remember, Senators are bigger than Congressmen, and busier.

If it is a matter of AP, then I suggest you go the eAP route. If it is a genuine emergency, you will be granted it on the spot.

But I think, they don't consider anything other than death of immediate relative as emergency!!!!!!!!!! Please suggest if there is an alternative.
For me, my parents health is not good and also there is the need to conduct my brothers marriage.
 
I remember one instance where one of the guys I work with got a certificate (letter) from a doctor saying that his father is very sick with a problem and needs to get operated ASAP.

That actually worked for him to get the AP.
Guilt and other moral things are of course going to be there.

Other person who did a similar thing but with Grand parants, which did not work but he a query on his regualr AP.

Just an idea to think about.
 
Marriage and health of parents are very valid issues as far as eAP is concerned, I would definitely use it in order to get an eAP, you can try once with a notarized affidavit stating the same, and if it fails then ask for a letter from a doctor in India and submit that the next time.

San Jose INS center has a better track record in granting eAP's if past experience is anything to go by.
