I am making this prediction based upon information from the thread "2001 Filers"

kiddoc
ND 01/01
FP 01/03
This guy must be the oldest filer on the forum.

cplusplus
RD 08/01
FP 05/02
Finger prints are 15 months old. FP expire or be approved.

Gkhan
RD 04/01
FP 06/02
Finger prints are 14 months old.

mj_no_1
RD 08/01
FP 08/02
Finger prints are 12 months old.

Everybody else that responded to the "2001 Filers" thread have an RD of 04/01 or later and FP done in 2003 or late 2002 or FP expired or FP not done. This group should prepare for a long wait.

Hello W8nc:

I am glad that you are following the 2001 thread when I started it
a few days ago. We have had a very good response from 2001 filers. i also posted another message on the texasimmigration message boards but too many people didn't respond. i am really anxious these days as the FP expires in a couple of weeks and i don't know if they will approve or keep quiet. i have 2 friends/colleagues one of whom applied in 9/2000 and the other in 12/2000. both got FP notices within a couple of months of filing(unlike me who waited 15 months for fp). they received their approvals in early 2002 both within the last 2 weeks of their FP expiration. i don't know if i would be that lucky but i am hoping.

thanks for your f/u.

Good luck to you.
I am hoping my predictions come true. At least, then I will believe there is some system of order, albeit gone amuck

My predictions

It looks to me that they are following the FP date.
Please note most of the RFEs and approvals are of FP of month 12/2002.
We still do not know, how fast are they approving and that brings all our assumptions to be useless.

To GKhan

Hello GKhan -

Have you written to the BCIS to to request expediting, since your fingerprints are close to expiring. If you have, can you please let me know what the procedure is. It will be great if you have a sample letter that I can use.

I had written to the local congressman about my 485. They made an inquiry and basically gave me the official line (currently processing dec 2000). They also said that most likely my FPs will expire and I will be sent a notice to redo them. So I am not very optimistic that this will be resolved anytime soon.

Thanks
MJ

I strongly hope that you are right about they are following FP dates. MY RD/ND is 8/01 and FP 12/17/02. May be my approvel is comming soon!!!

Hello mj_no_1:

Here is a copy of sample letter for your convenience. I hope it helps.

RE: Fingerprinting expiration notification for Form I-485
Name (A #/SRC #)

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am contacting you in connection with the Adjustment of Status application filed on my behalf that was received by your office on -------(insert receipt date) (please see enclosed copy of receipt notice).

After numerous requests, I was finally scheduled for fingerprinting in ------ (insert date when fingerprinting done) (please see copies of attached notices). 14 months later, I have still not received any further communication regarding this case. As you know, the fingerprinting is valid for only 15 months. I am very concerned about the current timing and the overall delay in my case and the need to be fingerprinted the second time.

I respectfully request that your office review and adjudicate my case before the expiration of my fingerprinting results next month. Your prompt assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you shortly. I have enclosed employment letter from my employer (I thought it may avoid the need for employment related RFE), copies of Form I-485 receipt notice and fingerprinting notice for your convenience.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

Address.

Gkhan -

Thanks for the sample letter. I will send it off to the INS and see what happens.

Thanks
MJ

I dunno why mine has not been approved so far. Is it possible for my employer to request the TSC to hold off on my approval as long as possible so that I dont leave his employment as soon as I get my green card or is it just my wild imagination. I have written to TSC about my case also contacted congressman who stated to me that he contacted TSC regarding my case but still no response. TSC has not even asked for any RFE for my case also and my lawyer tells me to just hang in there and if there was any problem with application they would have let me know by now. My online message never changed after fingerprinting also and I have been finger printed twice in 01/02 and 01/03 I guessed that initial FP was not proper. Any guys have any ideas why it may be taking so long

What is your 485 receipt date?
Has it been more than 33 months since your receipt date?
If so, you should call the 800 number and ask them to investigate. If you are beyond the 33 months, they should do this for you.

I called up recently and was told to wait for another month since present waiting period in TSC is 2 year and 9 months

BCIS measures processing time commencing with the receipt date, not the notice date. Your SRC number reflects your notice date. The receipt date should be on your 485 receipt.

Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on January 24, 2001. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 990 and 999 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.
This is what my message says and I guess the date is jan 24 2001
