Who receives the copy of RFE

I have a question, trying to understand if I am getting RFE. Senator's office told me to-day "Your file is with an officer and your lawyer will hear something from them in 30-40 days, they can only notify your lawyer". So if it is RFE, who receives the RFE, the applicant or the lawyer ?

My ND is July 2002 and the 2nd FP was done on Oct 06. LUD changed on 10/21/04.

Your attorney will receive, if it is RFE. And if it is approval, your attorney receives the original approval and you'll receive the courtesy copy of approval.
