i am waiting for my I730 to be approved, no telling how long it may take, my situation is kind of complicated and may take a while. My question is whether there is anything I can do in the meantime, I came on B2, currently out of status, no EAD, no DL. Is there anything I can do other than just sit tight and watch the world advance. I'm just wondering whether i would be legible to at least go to school since i can't work, or do anything productive for that matter, thanks for any advice

I know how it feels Limbo. i've been waiting for almost 7 months now. I check it everyday at least 4 times, i know it's useless but i still do. luckily i'm on opt but it's expiring soon. I know what you mean by sitting tight while seeing the world advance. but the time being passed is not going on waste, we're just not sitting home and not doing anything , we're actually waiting for our chance. i don't think you can get ead or driver's liscence but i don't know about the school. where is your file at , NSC or TSC? maybe you want to tell people, if possible why you think your case is complicated so they can give some accurate information.
Thank u for ur support cortaidus. I was actually able to get my dl. I was under-educated about the system in dc, where i live. One of the good forum members was kind enough to inform me through email of my eligibility. At least now i can probably attend an institution that requires no more than residency and money of course. I just refuse to be dormant, I can't let the system beat me, and so far this forum and it's members have been so helpful. About my case: I had posted it on my initial thread; wife was principal applicant i589, i was in status at the time therefore removed from claim, wife referred to court, i was believed to be joined when out of status but wasn't. Wife was granted asylum, since i was unfortunately not found in the proceedings, eventually judge suggested we just file I730, so here i am. We filed with TSC as of July. How long do u have on ur opt, hopefully ur petition will be granted soon, something tells me USCIS is moving swiftly recently.
good luck with you too man. happy to hear that you could get DL and join school. i have 4 months left on my current status and hope i won't have to join school again. i'm so sick of school, and just don't think it's right to spend more money on school just to stay in status but i won't have a choice in 4 months if things don't change. keep us posted man. so can we get DL while the case is pending?
Getting a dl where i live, in DC I think is easier than most states. Anyhow, it was required for me to show my FP notice (or any USCIS letter within last 6 months) that proves case is pending. You would have to check with your local DMV for their specific requirements.
