Which Type of visa need help

I and my wife are both U.S Citizen. I want to call my father-in-law (who is 70 year old and my mother-in-law is not alive)on visit visa, which visa does he need B,B1 or B2 not sure. My wife does not work so can I sponsor or wife should have to sponsor... and documents we need to send....Please help.
