Which Service Center Does What?

I just got my Receipt Notices and been searching for information on how to figure out which service center is responsible for what forms/states/cases, but I'm still confused.
So, the NBC is supposed to process family-based I-765s and preprocess family-based I-130s and I-485s. After preprocessing (whatever that means), do they send the cases to the local DOs?
I keep reading about DO timelines, so apparently the NBC transfers cases after a while.
And don't the other 4 service centers have anything to do with family-based cases anymore?

I would just like to know where to check on processing times. Is it NBC for now, until they transfer my case?

Thank you for any comments! :)

Timelines for.... (only for family based AOS, not CP)
1-765 and I-131 ==> NBC
I-130 ==> service center for your area
I-485 ==> Local DO/SO

NBC collects all applications and dispatches them to the appropriate office that handles each type of application.

Oh good. I was worried that my DO (Denver) might process my I-765, they are 6 months behind...
Thanks a lot Ari! :)

Hm, I checked again, and the Nebraska Service Center responsible for CO doesn't do I-130s for spouses of USCs.
:confused:

Yes I have the same problem. I've been looking at the California Service Center for reference!

I just checked the DO's in California and there are serveral ones, including sub offices. What do Sub Offices do?

Ofcourse there are several - you'll have to go to the one that deals with your area.

Sub Offices
Some Immigration District Offices also have Sub Offices that serve a portion of the District's jurisdiction. A Sub Office, headed by an Officer-in-Charge, provides many services and enforcement functions. Their locations are determined, in part, to increase convenience to our customers. Additionally, there are other offices (satellite offices) which may offer limited services to the public. Information on these offices may be found on the District home pages.
